5 Emmerdale spoilers as Chas is devastated, Charity struggles with guilt and Ruby has questions

Emmerdale viewers know that there’s never a quiet day in the Dales, and the Yorkshire-based soap has much more drama right around the corner. It’s been quite an intense few weeks on the ITV soap, mostly thanks to John Sugden and his harrowing shenanigans. As he threw himself and Aaron Dingle off the edge of a cliff, Robert Sugden was accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Mackenzie Boyd has been kept in John’s underground war bunker for a couple weeks now, and given a syringe by the villain so he can decide whether or not to end his life down there. Not to mention, Gabby and Vinny’s wedding day welcomed back Bernice Blackstock momentarily to the village, but both are hiding a secret from each other. Here’s what’s to come next in the Dales… Caleb is asked a favour. The next day whilst sneaking out Caleb is startled when Ruby catches him. As Ruby questions where he’s off to. Dylan checks in with April after her chat with Ray. April is unconvinced Ray has their best interests at heart, but the pair try to remain positive. Running into Ray later, April apologises for yesterday but mentions Dylan got the job at the depot leaving Ray pleased. When Ross spots April looking anxious after her meet with Ray he invites her to the cafe for a chat. As April tries to explain what’s worrying her but she fails to get help. Soon Dylan is left worried when Ray appears claiming they can help each other. At the depot, Dylan’s trying to make the best of his new job, but an arriving text message reminds him there’s no escape from Ray, who offers him an impromptu driving lesson. Paddy’s chuffed to hear Dylan wants to learn to drive and offers to teach him himself. Meanwhile, April’s appalled to hear where Dylan’s and her current debt stands. Ray suggests there’s ways she could bring their debt down faster. And soon April is well and truly reeled in. Ray takes her to a car park where he lays out the basics of the role. An encounter with a beaten-up lad reminds April of the consequences of messing things up. After successfully executing a demo deal, April’s takes on a burner phone thus making her a full-time dealer for Ray. Meanwhile, despite Paddy solidifying himself as a new father figure in Dylan’s life, Dylan’s unable to say no to Ray. They meet and a generous gift from Ray leaves Dylan grateful to have him in his life, unknowingly playing right into Ray’s hands. Soon, as they are chatting in the pub, it seems like things are looking up for Dylan and April, but their new-found happiness remains entirely dependent on Ray… At the surgery; Claudette urges Liam to put off things in order to attend the appointment for his prostate, but Liam instead gets her to cancel his appointment. And despite her urgent pleas over the next few days fails to rebook it and prioritise himself Liam ignores things. But soon the matter reaches a head when Manpreet witnesses a desperate Dr Liam relieving himself in his own consulting room hand basin and realises something is seriously wrong. With her interference Liam faces the truth and knowing he can’t hide from his fears or what his symptoms may indicate he finally comes clean to Chas who is devastated to hear he fears a prostate cancer diagnosis. Charity’s guilt over potentially carrying Ross’ baby is an ever-present torture. The next day, Charity heads off for a test, to find out if she’s carrying Ross’ baby. Chas is suspicious to see Ross and Charity in cahoots about something. Soon Charity and Ross face up to a 10 day long wait for the DNA test results. Jai’s in disbelief at Caleb’s apparently casual approach to running the Depot. Laurel’s rather taken with charming Ray. Soon Gabby is forced to admit she cheated on Vinny before their wedding. Meanwhile Vinny’s alarmed by a letter addressed to him – trapped in a dilemma; if he testifies against Mike he’ll stop anyone else being hurt like he was, but it means Gabby might uncover his lies. Laurel’s exasperated Gabby’s plan is to take her secret to her grave. She’s excited Vinny can now officially adopt Thomas. However, Vinny’s guilty to know that he’s concealing a secret that could destroy their family. Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
