With an increased first prize of $1,500,000, the 4th iteration of the New Era Entertainment-coordinated ExxonMobil Futsal Championship was launched yesterday in Amelia’s Ward, Linden. Utilising an initial group stage format which is set to commence on November 7th at the Retrieve Tarmac, 13 teams will be divided into four groups, with the resulting top two finishers progressing to the elimination segment. The competing teams, in no particular order, are Fearless, Silver Bullets, Salah Family, Young Gunners, Hardball Management, Foundation Family, Bombers, YMCA, DC Ballers, YMCA B, Spaniards, HK, and Spaniards B. The other playing dates are November 8th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, and 29th. The eventual second, third, and fourth place finishers will pocket $750,000, $350,000, and $200,000, respectively, and the corresponding accolade.
