NORMAN — Bixby’s Kaeden Penny, a four-star offensive line prospect in the class of 2027, announced his commitment to OU on Thursday.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder chose the Sooners over Ohio State and LSU.
Penny is ranked the No. 2 player in Oklahoma, the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 45 overall player in the country for 2027, per the 247Sports Composite ratings.
Penny has also played on the interior defensive line for Bixby, and recorded 18 tackles, two sacks and seven hurries as a sophomore while helping Bixby to the Class 6A-I state title.
Penny’s commitment announcement shortly followed Fort Gibson star offensive tackle Cooper Hackett’s flip from Texas Tech to OU. Hackett is the No. 1 class of 2027 player in Oklahoma.
Penny joins Hackett, four-star receiver Demare Dezeurn (Pacific Palisades, California) and three-star offensive tackle Luke Wilson (Southlake, Texas) as commits in OU’s 2027 class.
OU’s 2027 class ranks No. 9 nationally in the 247Sports Composite team recruiting rankings.
