Forbes recently published its list of Asia's Power Businesswomen 2025, which celebrates 20 women driving change across the continent. More than half of these women are accomplished managers with extensive experience in fields such as banking and consumer goods, while three of them are first-generation business owners. Find out who made the list Ruchi Kalra 42-year-old Ruchi Kalra is the Director and Chief Financial Officer of Oxyzo Financial Services, and also the co-founder of OfBusiness. A graduate in chemical engineering from IIT Delhi and an MBA from the Indian School of Business, she began her career at McKinsey & Co, where she met her husband and business partner, Asish Mohapatra. Oxyzo earned Rs 3.4 billion in profit in FY2025 and became a unicorn in 2022, having secured $200 million in funding from major investors such as Tiger Global and Norwest, according to Forbes. Oxyzo is a child of OfBusiness, a B2B platform Kalra co-founded in 2015. OfBusiness, which became a unicorn in 2021, reported a profit of Rs 6 billion in FY2024 and is reportedly preparing for an IPO worth up to Rs 1 billion. Manasi Tata Manasi Kirloskar Tata has been the Vice Chairperson of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, a leading car maker in India, since January 2023. The 36-year-old belongs to the fifth generation of the Kirloskar family, one of India’s oldest business houses that began as a bicycle repair shop nearly 150 years ago. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, she joined Toyota Kirloskar in 2013 and underwent extensive training. Under her leadership, the company recorded a 28 per cent rise in sales to Rs 649 billion in FY2024, reports Forbes. She also runs a non-profit organisation called Caring with Colour, which promotes creative education in over 5,000 government schools. She is married to Neville Tata, the son of Tata group leader Noel Tata. Priya Nair, 53, is the CEO and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever (HUL). She became the first woman to lead the company in its 90-year history. HUL, valued at around $65 billion, reports Forbes, is India’s biggest consumer goods company, selling popular products across soaps, detergents, and food items. Nair joined HUL about 30 years ago and steadily rose through the ranks, handling key roles in sales, marketing, and later overseeing the home care, beauty, and personal care divisions for South Asia.
