New Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra are the three Indian cities on the list. Interestingly, in terms of distance, they are not too far from each other. You can even visit all three in a single trip – starting from Delhi, Agra is about four hours away by road, and Jaipur is another four hours from Agra.
1. New Delhi
New Delhi is ranked 8th in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Destinations 2025 list for Asia. The site describes it as a “striking modern metropolis” that contrasts with the winding streets of Old Delhi. What makes Delhi stand out is its blend of old and new. Grand Mughal-era monuments like the Red Fort and Qutub Minar sit alongside modern architecture and urban development. Additionally, vibrant markets, a rich cultural heritage, art, diverse food, and lively neighborhoods attract numerous Indian and foreign tourists to India’s national capital.

12th on the list is Jaipur, one of the most vibrant cities in India. Like Delhi, Jaipur also offers a mix of history, culture, and urban spots. Known as the “Pink City,” the Rajasthan capital is home to stunning landmarks like the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and the hill forts of Amber and Jaigarh. All these iconic places boast stunning architecture and royal history dating back several centuries. Visitors can also enjoy the opportunity to stay in beautiful heritage hotels that were once palaces, many of which retain original architectural features and interiors. Moreover, Jaipur’s lively bazaars are filled with textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts, making it a must-visit destination.

Agra, ranked 16th on the list, is best known for the Taj Mahal. Built in 1632, this stunning white marble monument attracts visitors from all over the world. In addition to the Taj Mahal, Agra is home to other UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, which offer a glimpse into the grandeur of Mughal architecture.
