KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 26 Palestinians have killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, media reports said on Wednesday. According to Reuters, citing local health officials, Israeli warplanes carried out the raids on Tuesday, killing at least 26 Palestinians. Witnesses said the attacks continued into early Wednesday across various parts of the enclave. Since the start of the ceasefire on October 10, Al Jazeera reported on October 20 that at least 97 Palestinians had been killed and 230 others injured in Israeli strikes, with Israel violating the truce 80 times. The latest escalation comes roughly two weeks after US President Donald Trump announced that indirect talks in Egypt had produced an initial agreement on his proposed 20-point Gaza peace plan, which includes the withdrawal of Israeli forces and a prisoner exchange.
