25th Sharjah International Narrator Forum Concludes

Sharjah, September 26 (QNA) - The 25th Sharjah International Narrator Forum concluded Friday. Held under the theme "Travelers' Tales," the forum brought together more than 120 storytellers, along with researchers, thinkers, academics, media professionals, and those interested in travel, storytelling, and heritage from 37 countries. The forum recommended the creation of a specialized scientific encyclopedia of Arabic travel literature and the restoration of the narratives of Arab travelers by documenting them scientifically and objectively and studying them comparatively to reveal their value and richness. It also recommended the preparation of a comprehensive atlas of Arab travelers' narratives and the use of travel and geographical records to document the image of ancient cities, routes, and regions. This highlights the extent of cultural and human interaction among the peoples of the world. It also recommended several other recommendations aimed at preserving this heritage, ensuring its continuity, and transmitting it to new generations. The 25th edition of the forum featured artistic and educational workshops and theatrical events inspired by local and Arab heritage, in addition to art exhibitions and a scientific program packed with working papers and contributions from prominent heritage professors in the Arab world.
