Exclusive: In a new nine.com.au series starting today we'll be talking to some of Australia's smartest and sharpest entrepreneurs, founders and CEOs to find out what makes them tick - and what advice they'd have for anyone starting out. Sophia Begg (known online as @sophadophaa) is one of Australia's most recognisable young influencers with more than 2 million combined social media followers. She's also co-founder of All For Mimi, the wildly successful fashion brand she launched in 2023 that shot to fame for its viral sell-out tank tops. Now a successful internet personality and business owner, she's juggling two lucrative careers at just 21 years old. These are her secrets to success. How do you start the day to set yourself up for success? I love to start the day with a morning walk with my partner before making my Tropeaka matcha to enjoy a quiet moment before the chaos! What are three daily habits you always stick to? Morning matcha, daily gratitude, and 'no-phone' time before bed. Lots of Aussies are looking for a career change — what small action can help them get ahead of other candidates? What stands out to me is when applicants take the time to attend to the finer details. You'd be surprised at how many applications don't have a cover letter or have spelling errors! What financial myth do you wish you never bought into? In my first ever car, when I was 18, I believed that if I put my windows down the car would go slower and therefore use more petrol. So even in summer, in 30 degree heat, I would keep my windows up and never use the aircon to save money. What do you wish you could tell your 20-year-old self? Last year [Begg turned 20 in 2024] was a wild one as it was the first year of my brand All For Mimi. I would tell my 20-year-old self to speak kindly to herself, take each "mistake" as a learning curve, and keep moving forward. Have you got a story?
