2025 Voter Guide: Franklin County School Board candidates

The Franklin County School Board will have multiple new faces following this November’s election with several current representatives stepping down at the end of their term.
Both Snow Creek District representative Carletta Whiting and At Large representative Kevin David announced they would not be running for reelection. Todd Martin and Edward Jamison will be running for the At Large seat while Ron Shiflett will be running unopposed for the Snow Creek District seat.
Boone District representative Dawn McCray had originally announced she would be stepping down from the seat to run for the Boone District seat on the Franklin County Board of Supervisors. She recently announced she was dropping out of that race due to personal reasons. She has announced she will be holding a write in campaign to continue serving as the Boone District representative on the school board.
For the Rocky Mount District, Jeff Worley is running for a third term. He is unopposed.
