The calendar has page turned to October, which means pumpkin and monster season has arrived.
Here’s a rundown of some of the area’s fun and scary seasonal attractions:
Pumpkin Town Farms/ Insanity Farms
6060 S. Garnett Road
Pumpkin Town Farms, where farm meets city, is closed on Mondays but otherwise is open daily through Nov. 2.
Pumpkin Town Farms is a family-friendly property with many entertainment options for guests, but those who prefer scares can try its haunted attraction, Insanity Farms.
Insanity Farms is recommended for ages 12-up, but younger children are welcome if accompanied by a parent. Insanity Farms is open every Friday and Saturday night in October from 7 p.m. until midnight. Admission sales end at 11 p.m.

Livesay Orchards
39232 E. 231st St. South, Porter
Porter is known for its peaches, but Livesay Orchards is all about pumpkins in October. The pumpkin patch is open weekends in October, plus Oct. 16-17. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 1-6 p.m. on Sundays.

Annabelle’s Fun Farm
444584 E. 110 Road, Welch
Annabelle’s Fun Farm is equipped with a country music corn maze and family-friendly seasonal entertainment options.
Operating hours are 1-6 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays through Oct. 26. Season passes and single-day passes are available at the gate and online.

BooHaHa
Brookside (Peoria Avenue)
Billed as Oklahoma’s largest Halloween parade and event, BooHaHa will take place 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 18.
Kids’ zones and trick-or-treating will begin at the start of the event. Costume contests for kids and pets will take place at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. The BooHaHa Parade will move north on Peoria Avenue from 45th Street to 33rd Street and will feature groups and organizations from across the area.
Kids’ zone areas will be located at Brookside Collective Park, 3737 S. Peoria Ave.; Brookside Library, 1207 E. 45th Place; Myers-Duren Harley Davidson, 4848 S. Peoria Ave.; and Southminster Church, 3500 S. Peoria Ave.

Carmichael’s Pumpkin Patch

Carmichael’s Pumpkin Patch is a country pumpkin patch with decades of history, offering pony and camel rides, farm animal feeding, a cane maze, a wagon ride and parakeet feeding.
Carmichael’s Pumpkin Patch is open daily 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HallowMarine
Oklahoma Aquarium, 300 Aquarium Drive, Jenks
HallowMarine is returning with a new twist. Said a promo: Get ready for a spooktacular indoor celebration as Oklahoma Aquarium’s 21st annual HallowMarine makes a splash with new hours and more Halloween fun than ever before. Dress up in your favorite costume, collect candy and explore Oklahoma’s only ocean during this one-of-a-kind trick-or-treating adventure.
Daytime HallowMarine activities will take place 2-5 p.m. Oct. 17 and Oct. 18. Evening HallowMarine activities include a trick-or-treat trail 6:30-8 p.m. Oct. 24, Oct. 25 and Oct. 31.
HallowMarine is free for members or included with a general admission ticket during daytime hours. Evening events require a special ticket.

HallowZOOeen
Tulsa Zoo, 6421 E. 36th St. North
The Tulsa Zoo’s annual Halloween trick-or-treat event will take place over two weekends in October with activities for the entire family. This spooky (but not-too-scary) event is suitable for all ages and attracts thousands of visitors to the zoo for trick-or-treating and Halloween fun.
Dates are Friday, Oct. 17 (6-9 p.m.), Saturday, Oct. 18 (6-9 p.m.), Sunday, Oct. 19 (2-5 p.m.), Friday, Oct. 24 (6-9 p.m.), Saturday, Oct. 25 (2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.) and Sunday, Oct. 26 (2-5 p.m.).
HallowZOOeen tickets are $14.99 for zoo members and $19.99 for non-members. Children ages 2 and younger are admitted free.

The Patch

The Patch operates locations in Sand Springs and Glenpool. Both locations feature an assortment of kid-friendly activities.
Locations are open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., except for Sundays, when hours are noon to 7 p.m. At Sand Springs, entry fee is $3 and a kids activity pass is $10. At Glenpool, entry fee is $10 per person and includes unlimited activities for everyone.

Pumpkin Festival at Shepherd’s Cross

Enjoy an authentic working sheep and cattle ranch, plus family-inclusive activities with no scares.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday through Nov. 8. The festival also is open Monday, Oct. 27. Admission is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 per person.

Oklahoma Heritage Farm Fall Festival

Enjoy more than 30 activities including an 11-acre maze, a pumpkin cannon and giant slides. Some activities require additional tickets.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday through Nov. 2.

Tulsa Comic Book Swap Halloween

This one-day comic con will have a spooky twist and will take place 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. Guests include comic creator Mario Wytch.

Haunted Castle Halloween Festival
Castle of Muskogee, 3400 W. Fern Mountain Road, Muskogee
The festival’s most beloved attraction — the Haunted Hayride — has been reimagined with a Grimm’s fairy tale twist.
The Castle’s Halloween village and festival are open 5:30-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 1. The festival features family-friendly fun and intense experiences.
Parking and festival admission are free, but tickets must be purchased for bonus attractions. Advance tickets can be purchased at okcastle.com.

Trick or Tour
The Church Studio, 304 S. Trenton Ave.
Music lovers and Halloween enthusiasts can enjoy a spirited day of ghostly fun, music, history and costumes inside the legendary recording studio and museum. Guests can enjoy complimentary Trick or Tour guided tours, a playful Halloween atmosphere and a spooky Tunes @ Noon concert performance featuring Groucho as the Mummies.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., costumed visitors will receive free admission to The Church Studio. Costumes are not just for guests. Every docent, volunteer and staff member will be dressed up as they guide visitors through exhibits, rare collections and recording spaces.
Children in costume will collect treats, while adults can enjoy a specially priced Halloween spirit called the Witches Brew, available only during Trick or Tour.
For those not in costume, admission is $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students.

Hex House/The Experiment/ Haunted Overdrive

Three intense, adrenaline-filled experiences are available via one west Tulsa location — Hex House (inspired by a true story from Tulsa’s past), the Experiment and Haunted Overdrive.
Fifteen nights of terror are planned — Oct. 3-4, Oct. 10-11, Oct. 16-19, Oct. 23-26 and Oct. 30-Nov. 1. Tickets and VIP speed passes can be purchased in advance.

Circle Cinema

Circle Cinema is embracing the season with screenings of “Faust” (with live score by metal band The Silent Light) on Oct. 4, “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (with new video intro by Tulsa’s Heather Langenkamp) on Oct. 7, “Practical Magic” (lights will be half on for this Community Craft store-backed event so guests can work on a quiet project during the screening) on Oct. 8, “Day of the Dead” on Oct. 10-11, “Slash/Back” and “Blood Quantum” (free Native horror double feature) on Oct. 12, a Dread Central-presented found footage double feature of “.ask” and “Noroi: The Curse” on Oct. 18, “Poltergeist” on Oct. 25 and a surprise horror film presented by Sisters of Cinema on Oct. 28.

The Asylum

A creepy old sanitarium is the setting for one of the state’s best haunted attractions. As soon as guests are admitted, the other patients break free and take over. Expect fake blood, so do not wear your best clothing or best shoes.
The Asylum is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October, plus Thursday, Oct. 30, Saturday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 8.

Psycho Path

Celebrating 21 years of frightful entertainment, Psycho Path features two haunted attractions: the Dark Ride and the Shadow Box. Psycho Path is open every Friday and Saturday in October, plus Nov. 1. Tickets must be purchased online.

Admiral Twin Fright Fest

It’s creature feature season at Tulsa’s iconic drive-in theater.

Bartlesville and Tulsa
Tulsa Foundation for Architecture is presenting seasonal tours.
Phantoms & Facades: Haunted Bartlesville will begin 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. Wander the city streets as the tour uncovers eerie tales of ghostly encounters and the mysterious happenings that linger behind Bartlesville’s iconic facades. Marvel at the architectural splendor of historic buildings while hearing chilling stories of the spirits said to haunt them.
A Tulsa tour — Haunts & Homicide: The Arts District After Dark — will begin at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 28-30. Step into Tulsa’s shadowy past, where beauty and darkness intertwine. On this tour, guests will uncover the eerie tales of haunted landmarks, unsolved mysteries and notorious crimes that have left their mark on the city. As twilight falls, the tour will explore iconic buildings and hidden corners, revealing their ghostly secrets and sinister stories.
