Cantabile Choirs Launches its 30th Anniversary Season
Cantabile Choirs proudly announces its 30th Anniversary Season, marking three decades of musical excellence, innovation, and community. Since its founding in 1996, Cantabile has become one of Canada’s leading choral organizations, inspiring audiences with transformative performances and nurturing singers of all ages.
Under the artistic direction of Geoffrey Sirett, the 2025–26 season features five diverse concerts. Fascinating Rhythm opens the season with guest percussionist Kyoko Ogoda in a thrilling fusion of voices, taiko, and marimba. Holiday Magic continues Kingston’s beloved candlelit tradition of carols and festive music. Jigs and Reels celebrates Celtic and folk traditions with special guests, the legendary Barra MacNeils. Cantabile’s young choristers take centre stage in The Hobbit, Dean Burry’s opera based on Tolkien’s classic, featuring more than 140 children and youth. The season concludes with Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass, performed with the Kingston Symphony in a luminous finale.
“This milestone season celebrates Cantabile’s extraordinary history and looks boldly to the future,” said Artistic Director Geoffrey Sirett.
Beyond the concert series, special events include a Valentine’s Gala, family sing-alongs, and community film screenings.

This season, Domino Theatre invites you to step into a world of unforgettable stories, timeless classics, and fresh perspectives, all brought to life by Kingston’s own talented community of actors, directors, and designers.
From comedies that will have you laughing out loud to dramas that spark reflection and conversation long after the curtain falls, the 2025/2026 season offers something for everyone.
Domino Theatre has been a cornerstone of Kingston’s arts community for over 70 years, offering audiences an intimate theatre experience just steps from the heart of downtown. Seven full productions will run this season. From September through June, this year Domino plans to showcase the following: 7 Stories by Canadian playwright Morris Panych, Witness for the Prosecution by Agatha Christie, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcor, Wit by Margaret Edson, Suite Surrender by Michael McKeever, The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare, and Very Heaven by Canada’s own Ann Lambert.

Feel the Music with the Kingston Symphony
This season, music lovers will laugh out loud, be transported to Paris, delve into mystery, and be awed and uplifted through an assortment of concerts by the Kingston Symphony.
The Sunday afternoon Masterworks Series offers endless excitement through season’s end with classical masterpieces like Bruckner’s majestic Fourth Symphony, Beethoven’s immortal Piano Concerto No. 4, and Brahms’ titanic Symphony No. 4. Handel’s Messiah and Mahler’s Fifth Symphony will also be among the classical works the Kingston Symphony will perform this season.
The Saturday night Pops Series is the perfect night out! Enjoy a thrilling Murdoch Mysteries episode on the big screen, accompanied by the Kingston Symphony. Explore the Star Wars universe with a concert featuring music from the films, The Mandalorian, and more. Take a tour of Paris with songstress Jill Barber, with music by Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, and others.
For family fun, children’s entertainer Al Simmons returns to Kingston with Something’s Fishy, and the Symphony brings Mordecai Richler’s Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang to life. They also join forces with the Kingston Choral Society for three delightful Candlelight Christmas performances.

The Isabel Voices return with a beautiful, exciting season
The Isabel Voices (TIV) is back for their third season, which will include matinee and evening performances, livestreamed concerts, season tickets, and refreshments!
November 1: Join TIV for an unforgettable evening of food, music, and fun at their Cabaret Night Fall Fundraiser. Savour a delicious three-course Italian-inspired dinner by Stev George and his team at Olivea, paired with soaring vocals, comedy sketches, dancing, and an eclectic mix of music!
November 29: The beloved candlelit, “A Festive Celebration” returns with harp, string orchestra, and piano, bringing to life beautiful works by Ola Gjeilo, Dan Forrest, and Elaine Hagenberg, featuring Juno-nominated international harpist, Caroline Leonardelli.
March 15: “The Journey,” a powerful journey of hope told through stories of healing and resilience. Featuring Kim André Arnesen’s dramatic oratorio for voice and strings, this beautiful and moving work explores urgent ecological and emotional themes.
May 2: After TIV’s sold-out, show-stopping performances in 2024 and 2025, The Isabel Voices returns with not one, but two dazzling shows! Don’t miss this high-energy celebration of Broadway’s biggest hits! A 15-piece band, and exceptional singing and dancing, bring alive repertoire such as “On Broadway” from Beautiful, The Musical, and “Phantom of the Opera Medley” from Phantom of the Opera, with selections from “The Great Gatsby.”
