Welsh hotel and travel companies have been named some of the best in the world by a prestigious award. In its 32nd year, World Travel Awards unveiled its winners at a star-studded ceremony in Sardinia, Italy. Winners included Trinity College Dublin in Ireland as Europe's Leading Academic Tourist Attraction 2025, Costa Navarino in Greece as Europe's Leading Beach Destination 2025 and VISTA Lago di Como in Italy as Europe's Leading Boutique Hotel 2025. The awards ceremony also included a handful here in Wales. The Welsh winners included a 19th-century French style retreat on Anglesey , a Cardiff city centre hotel and a destination resort in Newport . Nominations also included an ancient monastery turned country house hotel in Pembrokeshire , and a Conwy hotel set over 200 acres of parkland. Following the unveiling of the worldwide winners, Graham Cooke, the founder of World Travel Awards said: "It has been a privilege to host our Europe Gala Ceremony 2025 on the beautiful island of Sardinia, which has hosted an incredible ceremony featuring the leading lights of travel from across the continent. Our winners are stellar examples of tourism excellence, and I congratulate each and every one for helping to raise the collective benchmark across our industry."
