KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 106 Palestinians have been killed and 367 others injured in Israeli air and ground assaults on Gaza over the past 24 hours, according to media reports on Wednesday.
Al Jazeera, citing residents of Gaza, reported that the territory has come under “heavy and relentless Israeli bombardment” as Israel expands its ground operations, forcing thousands of people to flee their homes.
Anadolu Agency, also quoting Gaza health officials, confirmed that 106 people were killed and 367 others wounded in the past day as a result of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Many victims remain trapped under rubble or stranded on roads, while rescue teams are struggling to reach them due to ongoing hostilities.
According to Al Jazeera, since the beginning of Israel’s military campaign against Gaza, nearly 65,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 165,300 injured.
An emergency meeting of Arab and Islamic leaders held in Doha on Monday, September 14, condemned the ongoing Israeli military actions and called for an immediate end to the “Israeli aggression.”
The summit urged the adoption of legal and effective countermeasures, including diplomatic and economic boycotts, and emphasized that lasting peace can only be achieved through an end to the occupation and the realization of the Palestinian people’s rights.
