10 Invincible Characters Who Should Survive The Entire Series

Each season of Invincible has gotten increasingly brutal, with season 3 proving even the bigger names aren't safe. However, while certain characters need to be killed off for the sake of the story, some simply shouldn't die under any circumstances and deserve to make it out of the show alive. Although Mark and Eve narrowly survived Conquest's brutal attack during Invincible season 3's ending, not everyone was so lucky. Just one episode prior, fan favorite Rex Splode met his end during the Invincible War, but his final moments provided a heroic sacrifice that completed his character arc while showing just how ruthless Angstrom Levy's plan was. Most importantly, Rex's emotional death in Invincible season 3 indicated that the series was only going to get more cutthroat, with many other popular characters more at risk than ever. Still, Prime Video's hit superhero show has to keep some regulars around, and these 10 characters are the perfect candidates to survive until the end. 10 Monster Girl Monster Girl's tragic origin story sets her up for an equally tragic fate, but she deserves to make it through the show's most harrowing events. After Rudy revealed his secret project in Invincible season 3 was a temporary cure for Monster Girl's curse, it offered a glimmer of hope that she could get a happy ending after all. Ripping this away may make for a powerful moment, but there are plenty of other Guardians of the Globe members who could die and provide an equally emotional payoff. Therefore, Amanda overcoming the drawbacks of her powers and finding a peaceful conclusion sounds much more fitting than a cruel death that would only provide a gloomy end to her already bleak arc. 9 The Mauler Twins Despite seemingly dying in Invincible season 3, there is a chance the Mauler Twins could have survived, and if they did, the duo needs to make it through the entire series. The villains have provided constant comic relief, and while they deserve to pay for their crimes, the Mauler Twins are far from the worst criminals in the Invincible universe. Even if their fate was ending up in jail, they seemed relatively content there in the past, and having these comedic yet intelligent antagonists have a constant presence is earned considering how much entertainment they provide, which is why the show should follow the comics and reveal that the Mauler Twins aren't really dead. 8 William Clockwell He may only have a small role in the series, but Mark's college friend serves an important purpose in the protagonist's story. William may not be able to give Mark superhero advice or understand all the problems he's going through, but he does bring a sense of balance to the series through his humorous yet sympathetic personality. When he's not cracking jokes, William is a great friend to Mark, and the idea of him lasting the series would prove that the central character was able to keep those close to him alive, even while fighting off otherworldly threats. Plus, those "Where's season x William" memes wouldn't hit the same if we lost this light-hearted character. 7 Donald Ferguson Cecil's right-hand man seemed little more than another GDA agent when he was introduced, but after learning the truth about his tragic past, he has earned a somewhat peaceful ending. After passing away, Donald was rebuilt as a cyborg and has been killed numerous times, not realizing his dark fate until Invincible season 2, where he chose to keep these memories. Naturally, the whole ordeal shook him up, yet he managed to push through and remain a good-hearted hero. He may not have any superpowers, but Donald is more willing than ever to put himself in harm's way and even helped save Rick's life, proving he deserves a happy retirement, rather than a grizzly death. 6 The Immortal The Immortal may not be a fan favorite by any means, but it just seems fitting that he would outlast most other characters. Invincible season 3 already showed what The Immortal's future could look like if he lives too long, and while this seems like a great excuse to kill him off, it's also the perfect reason to change his fate. Living forever is undoubtedly a curse that has taken its toll on him, but with the help of Mark and his other allies, he may eventually find peace. Even if he does end up going insane, it would be much more interesting to see how the others deal with an unhinged Immortal, rather than killing off the man who supposedly can't die. 5 Art Rosenbaum Considering he is a fairly infrequently occurring supporting character, there is no reason for Art to die, especially as he adds so much value to the story. Alongside making great costumes, Art is a fantastic figure when it comes to providing moral support, not just for Mark, but also for Debbie and Omni-Man. It would be heartbreaking to see him end up as collateral damage in some sort of city-wide fight, and while this could light another fire under Mark, he has already suffered enough loss. Art's presence always helps keep Invincible grounded and gives it a human feel, which the show can't afford to lose, hence why he must stick around. 4 Debbie Grayson Much like Art and William, Debbie is another close figure to the protagonist outside the superhero world, and there's no doubt that Debbie should be around for the entire series. Alongside being a great mother to Mark, Debbie has had her own interesting development and has proven to be a complex character with plenty of depth. Her strong personality has kept Mark and Oliver in check the best she can, but she has naturally struggled raising two heroes on her own, especially after her husband's betrayal. As a result, Debbie's Invincible story has been stressful and full of hardship, but it will all be worth it if she gets to end the show alive, well, and most importantly, happy. 3 Allen the Alien After Allen's fake-out death in season 2, the hilarious fan favorite needs to be an ever-present part of Invincible. Although the show is filled with funny characters, Allen's energy fits perfectly into the overall narrative, providing plenty of laughs while still being a super competent fighter who is a crucial part of stopping the Viltrum Empire. Despite his goofy demeanor, Allen is arguably stronger than Omni-Man in Invincible and is easily one of the show's most powerful characters. Audiences love him, he's integral to the story, and he always makes the series better, which is all the evidence needed to suggest that Allen should still be alive when the credits roll for the final time. 2 Mark Grayson It may seem like a no-brainer for Mark to survive Invincible, but many TV protagonists often end the series with a self-sacrifice, and Mark shouldn't be one of them. Nearly every episode has involved him suffering in one way shape or form, be it sustaining severe injuries, worrying about loved ones, or having his public image damaged. While it's not rare to see main characters endure plenty of conflict, very few have faced as much trauma as Mark Grayson, yet he continues to get back up every time. His tough journey has forced Mark into killing throughout Invincible, or at least thinking he has done so, which has naturally impacted him mentally. These constant setbacks are only going to get worse as he faces even more dangerous threats, but with the protagonist having an invincible mentality, Mark must make it through the final battle and enjoy the happy ending he thoroughly deserves. 1 Atom Eve Most people would naturally assume that if anyone should survive Invincible, it's Mark himself. However, it's even more important that his love interest, Atom Eve, makes it through the series. Of everyone Mark has fought for, Eve seems the most significant. Yes, even more so than his own family. Additionally, she has gone through her own compelling arc that involves trying to find her place as a hero and how to best use her powers for good. At her peak, Atom Eve can be even stronger than Mark in Invincible, meaning she could do plenty of good for the world if she unlocks her full potential.
