Contraband Police – which has sold nearly 1.5 million copies on Steam – is about to reach an even wider audience as it makes its way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Contraband Police debuted on PC in March 2023 and instantly became a hit, selling nearly 1.5 million copies since it’s release. The game continues to hold an overwhelmingly positive rating, with 95% supportive reviews on Steam. On November 7, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players will finally get the chance to experience the challenges of working at a border post in the dangerous region of Acaristan. To celebrate the occasion, developers have shared a new gameplay trailer. Contraband Police – watch the new gameplay trailer Since its release, Contraband Police has grown and improved significantly – and all features added over time will also be available in the console edition. The highlight of the update is the Inspector Mode, which introduces 30 checkpoint upgrades, 20 new entry regulations, 3 document types, 10 police ranks, and daily missions. The game also features a brand-new Challenge Mode, allowing players to take part in various competitive events, along with controller support on PC and full Steam Deck compatibility. Updates also brought new weapons – revolver and sniper rifle – and two vehicles: Sina and Zenith. A wide range of new mechanics and quality-of-life improvements has also been implemented, such as fast travel, mission companions, civilian panic, pedestrian escapes, and the ability to search bodies. All these improvements come together to deliver a smoother, more polished experience, supported by numerous UI upgrades, new animations, and overall performance optimizations. But there’s more – for the biggest fans, developers at Crazy Rocks and publisher PlayWay have prepared a special collector’s edition. It will open for pre-orders on November 6th. The release of Contraband Police on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S is scheduled for November 7, 2025, and Xbox pre-orders are set to begin on October 30.
