A much-delayed €20m Supermac’s motorway service station has finally opened despite a controversial 11th hour lawsuit halting work to connect the facility to a nearby wastewater -treatment plant. High Court judicial review proceedings filed in August by Friends of the Irish Environment against Uisce Éireann threatened to derail the opening of the new Banner Plaza, on the M18 near Ennis, Co Clare.
