Ben Askren recently sent fans into a frenzy after returning to training just four months after suffering a life-threatening medical condition. The former UFC fighter developed severe pneumonia after contracting a bacterial infection and underwent a double lung transplant earlier in June.Askren reportedly lost over 50 pounds in 45 days and claimed that he had no recollection of the events that transpired between May 28 to July 2. No recollection. No idea. No idea what happened. I just read through my wife’s journals, and it’s like a movie. It’s ridiculous. I only died four times, where the ticker stopped for about 20 seconds. That’s not ideal. But I got the double lung transplant. I made it out the other side of it."He continued:"The thing that was most impactful to me was all the love I felt from everybody.
