Following his career-best 61 at the World Wide Technology Championship, Garrick Higgo revealed that his labrum was still torn and that he was just managing the injury. He added that he was trying not to make it worse and hoped to avoid further damage.On Saturday, November 8, Higgo carded an 11-under 61 which is his lowest round so far. After the third round, the 26-year-old South African stood at 22-under to hold a one-stroke lead over Carson Young.During his post-round interview, Higgo shared a major update about his injury when asked about his labrum."It's still torn, but just managing the symptoms," he said. "That's kind of it. Trying to not make it worse, so doing stuff in the gym that will kind of strengthen the joint, like stabilize it at least. I hope I don't get any new injuries; that would be great."For the uninitiated, Higgo was forced to withdraw from the Barracuda Championship earlier this year after sustaining an injury. However, he returned to action within a week but has been cautious about it since.The ace golfer has been in good form recently and has bagged three back-to-back top tens.
