Olympic champion gymnast Jade Carey recently reflected on her career after receiving a major honor. The former Oregon State Beavers gymnast recently received an honor at the Oregon Sports Awards. The Instagram page of Sport Oregon shared a reel of Carey interacting with the audience after receiving the honor. She talked about her impressive experience at the Paris Olympics, and what's next for her. Jade Carey reflected on her whirlwind career since the past one year. She remarked, "Yeah, life has been definitely a whirlwind in the most exciting way possible. Winning Olympic gold and bronze medals in Paris, was truly the most special and exciting moment of my career, and then just going on to finish a really strong season at the Oregon State was just icing on the cake. I'm forever grateful support that I had to get me there and make my dreams become a reality. It truly does take a village, so I'm grateful to everyone that supported me along the way." The 25-year-old gymnast represented the Oregon State Beavers from 2021 to 2025. The 25-year-old gymnast missed the elite gymnastics events this year to focus on her final season as a collegiate gymnast.In her conversation with the popular sports network ESPN, the Olympic champion gymnast mentioned,"This year I haven't had the Olympics in the back of my mind 24-7. I've just been able to think about and enjoy the whole process and the season. I was able to give more to college gymnastics and to my teammates than I've ever been able to do before. I think that's really what's ultimately led me to where I am this year and allowed me to have a lot of fun."Jade Carey won the AAI award for the 2025 season. The Olympic champion gymnast became the fourth gymnast from the Oregon State Beavers to do so after the likes of Mary Ayotte Law, Joy Selig, and Chari Knight. Though she couldn't lead the Oregon State Beavers to the finals of the NCAA Championships, Jade Carey won an individual bronze medal in the balance beam event.
