NASCAR veteran Denny Hamlin praised Jeb Burton's boss, Jordan Anderson, for de-escalating the situation with Sam Mayer last weekend. The incident happened during the IAA and Ritchie Bros. 250 held at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, October 25.The situation arose when Mayer bumped into Burton's #27 Chevy during stage one of the 253-lap race. Following that, the Jordan Anderson Racing driver wanted to retaliate and give Mayer the taste of his own medicine. Later on the final lap of the race, Burton moved the Haas Factory Team driver out of his way to finish one spot ahead of him.However, Sam Mayer was furious about the move and sent Jeb Burton's Chevy into the outside wall after the race was over. The #27 Chevy driver was not impressed by this move and furiously went into the pits. Reflecting on the situation at hand, team owner Jordan Anderson calmed the Xfinity Series driver and defused the situation.Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin was impressed by Anderson's move and praised him on the latest episode of Actions Detrimental. Hamlin stated:"You've got to say a big tip of your cap to Jordan to kind of de-escalate the situation, and then going over there and addressing it himself as the car owner of 'hey, you just wrecked the car that I've got to repair.' I think he did a great job."Jeb Burton wrapped the 253-lap Martinsville Speedway race in sixth place. On the other hand, the Haas Factory Team driver Sam Mayer finished one spot behind him in P7. Following that, the sanctioning body issued fines and deducted points. Burton was also caught in that for his behavioral issues at the infield car center, and NASCAR slammed him with a $5,000 fine for his actions.Reflecting on the same, Jeb Burton wrote:"I accept NASCAR's penalty for my conduct after the race in Martinsville.
