José Mourinho set aside any speculation of past issues with Eden Hazard, offering a heartfelt tribute to the Belgian star following his induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame for 2025. Hazard was an important player in Mourinho's 2014–15 title-winning Chelsea side. The dynamic forward was a constant threat as the Blues dominated the season from start to finish. During his second tenure at Stamford Bridge, which began in 2013, Mourinho was known to be an admirer of Hazard's immense talent. However, the relationship soured during the disastrous 2015–16 campaign, where Hazard's form plummeted and he failed to score a league goal until April. Mourinho’s message to Hazard Mourinho disagreed with Hazard's best position, with the player favouring a more central role, which contributed to the team's decline. He was then dismissed four months later, with the defending champions languishing near the relegation zone. However, nearly a decade later, any animosity has clearly faded. In a video message that moved Hazard, Mourinho expressed his admiration for the player. "Eden, many congratulations on joining the Premier League Hall of Fame," the 62-year-old said. "Everybody knows that you belong there. "You are one of the most amazing players that I have ever worked with and of course, you have to be there." Hazard has now joined other Premier League legends in the Hall of Fame induction, etching his name in history books.
