Stars of The Block Dan and Dani Reilly have announced they’re pregnant with their second child. The couple, who first starred as contestants on season five in 2012 and again the following year on The Block: All Stars, have long been favourites with Dan even returning as the foreman in recent seasons. Privately the couple had struggled with a three-year infertility issue until Dani fell pregnant last year. However, their joy turned to tragedy in December when their first daughter Billie died at just 10 days old. But the couple have announced they are pregnant once again, sharing birth announcement on Instagram on Sunday evening. “As sure as the sun rises and sets each day, she is with us for this next chapter… Billie’s sibling coming 2026,” the couple shared on Instagram alongside an image of the pair holding hands with Dani’s bump visible. “To those navigating pregnancy and infant loss, IVF, and fertility challenges — we see you,” they wrote. After suffering a traumatic birth and issues receiving oxygen, Billie was left unable to survive. “In Billie’s short time in this world, she taught us an intensity of both love and pain we never knew possible,” the couple shared of the devastating loss. “Billie was so wanted, so loved and she made us parents … and what an honour it is to be her mummy and daddy. “She will always be our daughter.” Copied URL to clipboard Foreman Dan leaves Block stars in tears Dan and wife Dani opened up about a personal tragedy in a moving Block... Source: News.com.au After the death of Billie, Dan and Dani launched Billie’s Besties, a charity raising money for the Women’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The name came from the nurses who supported them during their time in hospital, which they referred to as ‘Billie’s Besties’. “They held space for our love, our grief, and our need to make memories in the time we had,” the couple have said of the NICU staff. So far, the couple has raised $166,000 for the Women’s NICU. The couple shared the news of their loss last December. Picture: Instagram/@daniwales. Fans have shared their love and excitement with the couple on Instagram, leaving a flood of happy and congratulatory comments. “CONGRATULATIONS GUYS. What incredible news. We are so happy for you all. Sending you so much love,” wrote fellow Block star Tess Struber. “Congratulations team! What wonderful news. Billie will be there with her little sibling every step of the way,” shared another follower. “Sending you both love and joy from here forward,” wrote Shaynna Blaze, a judge on The Block. They came in second, selling their house for $1.44 million. The couple returned for The Block: All Stars the following year, and Dan eventually became “Foreman Dan”, now appearing on all seasons of the show. He also commented on the most-recent season’s unsatisfying ending, saying he was “gutted” for the contestants whose houses were passed in at auction.
