A fan favorite star from The Young and the Restless has married her longtime love. Camryn Grimes wed Brock Powell on November 8 in New Orleans, Louisiana, according to People. Grimes and Powell tied the knot in an “intimate” event at the Columns Hotel in New Orleans. The pair told People, “We wanted our friends and family to feel like they’re on an adventure with us — a few days to explore a new place, eat some incredible food, and take in everything New Orleans has to offer.” They wanted to highlight their love of travel and ultimately, “throw an incredible party and thank [friends and family] for their support and love.” While neither Powell nor Grimes is from New Orleans, they felt it was the perfect location for their wedding. “It’s a little moody, a little funky but at the same time very classy and historic,” she explained. They shared with People that the area “really spoke to” them and highlighted “the intersection of a lot of different passions and loves” of theirs. Approximately 75 people attended Powell and Grimes’ wedding. Those in attendance included her uncle, former Part of Five star Scott Grimes, as well as former General Hospital star Robert Palmer Watkins. Grimes’ current The Young and the Restless co-star Hayley Erin was also there. Grimes wore a stunning two-piece ensemble from KYHA. She revealed that she found it on the first day she tried on dresses. “That was it! I’m not a terribly fussy shopper and I could just tell when I got it on that it was the one for me,” she explained. Powell and Grimes included a street parade with a brass band, a tarot card reader, and a local pianist in their day of celebration. They had their first dance to the Stevie Nicks song “Crystal,” and guests noshed on beignets and other goodies.
