Real Housewives of Potomac star Stacey Rusch is supportive of her co-star, Dr. Wendy Osefo, after her shocking arrest earlier this month. On Sunday night’s (Oct. 26) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Rusch—who joined RHOP in Season 9 and was one of Osefo’s closest allies in Season 10—told host Andy Cohen that she saw Osefo last week. “It was emotional. I saw her and we just held each other,” Rusch said. “I support her. I’m her friend, and I can’t wait for her to tell her story.” Osefo and her husband were indicted on multiple counts of insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and giving a false statement to police after they were arrested on Oct. 9 in Westminster, Maryland, per Us Weekly. Police say the couple reported a burglary last April, claiming several designer bags, luxury items, and jewelry pieces had been stolen. However, Osefo was allegedly seen wearing one of the “stolen” jewelry pieces at a later date. Further investigation found that many of the items that were reported stolen had allegedly been returned to the store for full refunds before the purported burglary happened. Last week, Osefo’s lawyer filed court docs claiming her arrest was “illegal” due to “defects in the charging document,” per Us Weekly. According to the outlet, the reality star is asking that “all admissions, statements or confessions” not be submitted as evidence because “they were unlawfully obtained.” She also demanded that all evidence, including wire and verbal communications, be “suppressed because of an unlawful search or seizure.” Osefo broke her silence on social media last week, writing, “And through it all, GOD remains faithful. Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful.” Rusch was one of the only RHOP stars to comment on the post, simply writing, “Love you❤️.” Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo.
