The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after she congratulated the Indian women’s cricket team for their historic win in the ICC cricket. The BJP quoted Banerjee’s X post and wrote, “OMG, they were playing till 12! But you had told them to be home by 8!!”. The post was a sharp dig at Banerjee’s remarks after the gang rape of a medical student outside her campus in Durgapur in October.
