Leaving a complete void in the television and film industry, popular actor Satish Shah breathed his last on October 25. He passed away at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. Best remembered for his comic timing and effortless performances in iconic movies and shows, the actor had been “unresponsive” when he was taken to the hospital. Even after continuous CPR and the efforts of the doctors, Satish Shah could not be saved. Soon after news of his demise broke, friends, family, and members of the entertainment industry poured out their heartfelt tributes for the actor. As the industry is mourning his death, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah creator Asit Kumarr Modi offered condolences to him. He dropped a video on the platform and captioned it, “Sad and shocked to inform you that well-known actor and a great human being Satish Shah has passed away an hour ago due to kidney failure. They added that when the ambulance reached Shah’s residence, the actor was “unresponsive” and even after continuing CPR, “Mr Shah could not be revived.” Satish Shah’s funeral was held at Mumbai’s Pawan Hans Crematorium on Sunday, where friends, relatives and coworkers gathered solemnly. On October 27, his loved ones gathered at the Jalaram Hall in Juhu, Mumbai, for a prayer meeting. Satish Shah’s Career Breakdown In a career spanning over four decades, the actor appeared in several notable films such as Bhoothnath, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Judwaa, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Umraao Jaan, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Main Hoon Na, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hein, Saajan Chale Sasural, Hero No. 1, Kal Ho Na Ho and Om Shanti Om, among others. But his career was not limited to the film industry. He has also played iconic roles in numerous television shows, such as Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Ghar Jamai, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, etc.
