The ANZ Digital Services Status Page advised customers an outage began shortly after 2pm on Tuesday and technology teams were investigating the cause. “Users are experiencing issues with intra-day reporting, payments will appear as ‘in progress’ and accounts details are not able to be viewed,” the update read. “Intra-day reporting requests are failing.” An ANZ spokesman said customers may have experienced issues with some services including the ANZ app and internet banking. “This has now been resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience,” he said. The outage occurred less than 24 hours after a technical issue at Amazon Web Services knocked out dozens of internet-based platforms across the globe. Millions of people were unable to access apps across social media, games, financial services, airlines, government services and cryptocurrency platforms. The outage was dubbed the biggest internet disruption of 2025.
