Shane Dowling insists that he had "no business" remaining involved with the Limerick senior hurling squad for 2026. The former Limerick attacker was forced to hang up his county boots in 2020 due to a crippling knee injury before making a sensational return to John Kiely's squad last winter, this time as goalkeeper after impressing with his club Na Piarsaigh.
