In yet another racially motivated incident in Canada, a foreigner was seen hurling derogatory and racial slurs towards an Indian worker. A video of the same was shared on social media, which quickly raised online discussions on repeated ‘anti-immigrant’ and ‘anti-Indian’ incidents happening lately. As per multiple reports, the incident unfolded in Oakville, at a McDonald's outlet. The clip showed a group of men- who were referred to as ‘teens’ by many netizens- shouting abuse at the Indian, and laughing at the same time. The friend group then seemingly began to leave as soon as a woman started recording them, while also pushing them for a confrontation. However, among them, one man decided to repeat his racial remarks as soon as the woman asked him to repeat. Smiling in a rather provocative manner, the man was heard saying, “Go back to your fu**king country, you st****ng as***le Indian.” The video began to float online, for obvious reasons. This is not a standalone incident where an Indian was racially abused by a white person in Canada. The Halton Police also commented on the clip, soon after it went viral. “If this has not happened already, please ensure you report this to @HaltonPolice,” read the Halton Police’s official handle. Times Now could not confirm the details of the viral post. It is unclear whether any action has been taken against the man so far.
