‘Can't Spoil Aesthetics’: Mumbai Man Takes Down ‘Illegal Banner’ From Metro Pillar; Gets Hailed By Internet

Turning into a ‘hero that no one wanted– but needed’, a Mumbai man seemingly did something which should have been done long ago. Allegedly, Mumbai’s ‘eastern suburbs’ recently got an aesthetically beautiful upgrade after the authorities decided to paint the Mumbai Metro Line 2B’s pillars. However, the entire beauty of the place came crashing down after a businessman decided to stick ‘illegal ads’ on the pillars. In a bid to better the city and save its newfound ‘aesthetics’, the man quickly went ahead and took the ads down. He shared the same on social media, which went viral and left social media hailing him for the act. As per the man, he had first asked the businessman himself to take the posters down by dialing the number that was mentioned in the ad. However, the businessman hardly took any action, and instead allegedly offered money to the man to remove the posters. Speculating what might have happened, the man stated that the businessman possibly mistook him for some authorised person complaining about the posters. Ultimately, after waiting for the businessman to take some action, the man himself went ahead and completed the task. The post went viral, with netizens reacting. Most commented on the idea to ‘teach such people a lesson’, while the rest questioned India’s civic sense. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. Check out the viral post: “Guess who decided to take things in his own hands? Me. Me. Me! Some idiot decided to paste his biz ad on the Mumbai Metro Line 2B’s pillar. I took it down. Can't spoil the aesthetics na. Next assignment? Political banners. Starting soon!” the post read. The posts were shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘runkarthikrun’. The post was shared 4 days ago and pulled more than 1M views from netizens. Internet's reactions: ALSO READ: ‘True New Yorker’: Yet Another Zohran Mamdani Video Wins Internet!
