A video has gone viral on social media, which shows a man using a scooter to lift a heavy bag of cement to the fourth floor of an under-construction building. “Mai aapko dikhaata hu, India mein building kaise bnti hai. Isko kehte hai jugaad,” says Harpreet Singh Ghulati, a property dealer featured in the video. In the clip, you can see how the workers attached a rope pulley to the scooter’s rotating wheel using metal rods. As the man accelerates the scooter, the pile of cement bags slowly climbs upward. The video was captioned “AI vs Desi Technology.” Though the place isn’t revealed, the scooter’s number plate suggests it’s from Haryana. He said that it was a great example of why the engines of vehicles are called powertrains, as it includes axles, gears and more components like the one he had used. But he suggested to use an electric motor instead of the petrol scooter, as it would be less noisy and more cost-effective. In another incident, a man modified his two-wheeler by placing the scooter handle in the opposite direction. It was installed backward, just below the vehicle’s front seat. The man was seen sitting between the seat and the handle while riding the vehicle.
