‘Aa Rahe Hein Aliens Ya So Jaye Ab?’ Internet Gets Curious About 3I/ATLAS! Viral

Comet 3I/ATLAS: All that everyone- especially UFO and aliens conspiracy theorists- can talk about today is 3I/ATLAS. And why not? After all, it’s only the third time that our solar system is getting a visitor from far beyond. Yes, as per NASA, 3I/ATLAS is from outside our solar system, where it has been identified as an interstellar object. Reportedly, the massive comet is travelling on a ‘hyperbolic trajectory’, which also means that the object won’t be sticking to our solar system, as it is ‘not gravitationally bound to the Sun’. The comet will reportedly pass the Sun (perihelion) today, October 29, at a distance of approximately 1.36 astronomical units, or over 200 million kilometres. Once the comment reaches the other side of the Sun, we won’t be able to see it- until it reappears around November 11. With such curiosity and a bit of mystery around an extraterrestrial object, it makes sense that the internet is losing it. Social media is witnessing all kinds of reactions, where a majority are connecting 3I/ATLAS with ‘aliens, UFOs’ and even ‘motherships’. As per reports, the object’s closest distance to the Sun (perihelion) will be 1.36 AU, at approximately 11:47 UT. Coming to it being the third interstellar object from outside our solar system, it was Oumuamua in 2017 and 2I/Borisov in 2019, who first gave us a visit. As per scientists and their beliefs, the comet poses no danger. Circling back to the internet’s reactions, let’s take a look at some of the most viral ones: “3I/ATLAS as soon as it leaves our solar system,” a user said. “Finally it's October 29th and the aliens didn't arrive. Once again they didn't arrive,” wrote a second person. “All the social media scientists, religious freaks and dooms day believers today: #3IATLAS,” wrote a third. “People feel this is the real deal. Nobody can stop the truth no matter the silence from NASA, ESA etc. Prepare. #3IATLAS ,” added another. ALSO READ: Is WhatsApp NOT An ‘End-To-End Encryption’?
