Fox, who won Olympic gold in the kayak cross in Paris last year, looked loved up in some wholesome photos of the couple celebrating their engagement on a hike. “A little secret we’ve been keeping from youuuu!!” Fox and Dupras wrote in a joint Instagram post! “Who could have imagined that our little love story in Rio all those years ago would bring us here.️ “So proud of everything we’ve written together, et de tout ce qu’il nous reste à écrire (and everything we’ve still got to write).” Fox’s sister Jess and fellow Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus were among those offering their heartfelt congratulations. Four-time Olympic swimmer Cate Campbell commented: “Omg this is the best news! Congratulations.” Bronte Campbell said: “You two! How good, I’m so stoked for you. Canoe slalom champion Ricarda Funk wrote: “Congratulations … so happy for you.” Australian Olympic Chef de Mission Anna Meares said: “Huge congratulations.” Fox has spoken about the support of her partner Titouan, who jumped in the water along with sister Jess when Noemie won an emotional gold medal at the Paris Olympics. In 2021, he moved to Australia and became Noemie’s coach before the Paris 2024 Olympics. “I could never have achieved this level and those results if I didn’t have his support,” she told Nine.com.au. “The fact that he understands all that and realises the lengths we went to … it’s so incredible.” Fox competed at the ICF Slalom World Championships in Penrith earlier this month, falling short of the medal rounds of the kayak cross and finishing ninth and 12th in the C1 and K1 finals. Jess Fox missed the world championships after undergoing surgery to remove a tumour on her kidney, forcing the Olympic champion to watch on as a spectator.
