White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded on Tuesday during a press briefing to radical leftist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s attempt to blame President Trump for bomb threats on polling locations in New Jersey. New Jersey polling sites in Bergen County, Essex County, Mercer County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Ocean County, and Passaic County were targeted with bomb threats on Tuesday while voters cast their ballots in the gubernatorial election. This comes as Republican Jack Ciattarelli was closing in on Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill’s (D-NJ) lead, promising a close election that would likely be decided by turnout. As the New York Post reported last week, “Of all the early voters who cast mail-in ballots or in-person votes, 54% were registered Democrats and 28% were registered Republicans, according to data compiled by Michael Pruser, Director of Data Science for Decision.” This would make a strong Republican turnout on election day vital to a win for Ciattarelli. The motive for bomb threats is clear: to discourage Republicans from accessing the polls. But Zohran Mamdani absurdely blamed Trump for the bomb threats, calling it “an illustration of the attacks we are seeing on our democracy,” The Gateway Pundit reported. “We have to understand this as part of the general approach the Trump administration has taken to intimidate voters with baseless allegations of voter fraud as a means of trying to repress the voice of Americans across this country,” Mamdani added. This is gaslighting at its finest. A likely leftists group attacks Republican in-person voters’ right to cast a ballot, but somehow it’s Trump’s fault. “This is just another example of how the Democrat Party, unfortunately, stands for nothing,” Leavitt said in response to his remarks. “All they stand against is President Donald Trump.” WATCH: Heinrich: Zohran Mamdani blamed the president for bomb threats and intimidation at polling locations. Leavitt: Yeah, I saw those comments from Mamdani. I think they are completely irresponsible, and they are based on zero evidence. And I think this is just another example of how the Democrat Party, unfortunately, stands for nothing. All they stand against is President Donald Trump. And I think it’s quite sad to see that we have someone at the top of the ticket on an election day, today, saying such things about the President when he obviously had absolutely nothing to do with those threats.
