She said: "We heard what's happened to one of our sisters. "We are very, very frustrated and we had the Oldbury incident that happened, it's been five weeks and we are still grieving, we are still in so much shock about it. "We need to be speaking about this, making sure we are supporting the family and ensuring that we speak up about this, make sure out sisters are aware, they are alert but we shouldn't have to be doing this. "This has happened to her simply because of the colour of the skin. "(She was) minding her own business and that means none of us are safe." Another local said: "We are shell-shocked, we cannot explain it to the kids because of the police. "It's devastating and the fact she was stalked from the bus stop - I feel so angry. "This has not come out of nowhere, the rhetoric that's been used, the Far Right fuelled this. "She was in the wrong place at the wrong time. "This is a hate crime. It doesn't matter if she was Sikh, Hindu or Muslim, she was brown. "My relation went to the temple in Caldmore and they were very shocked and wanted to see what they could do." One man who kindly offered tea to those stood on the road said: "I have a little sister and this has scared the hell out of me. "It's my route home." A resident said: "We saw all the police and ambulances and we didn't know what had happened until yesterday. "The community has come together and is supporting wherever they can. "All we can do is raise awareness and make sure we look out for one another." * West Midlands Police said they are questioning a 32-year-old man on suspicion of rape who had been arrested at 7am on Monday (October 27).
