The Scottish SPCA has issued a heartfelt appeal in a bid to find one "very special" dog's forever home. River has been waiting patiently at the charity's Lanarkshire centre for over 100 days. The team say she is a "very special girl who has an abundance of love to give". It is unclear how River landed in the care of the Scottish SPCA, but she is now "ready to find her fresh start in life". In a heartfelt post made to the Scottish SPCA's Facebook, staff said that three-year-old River had been sadly "overlooked" in the past. River is a brown and white American Bulldog with a bubbly, playful, loving personality. She can find new environments overwhelming and become a little worried however, after she has had her zoomies she will begin to interact and show her true self. The Scottish SPCA confirmed River has basic training and knows commands however, say her new owner will need to continue with her on going socialisation with other dogs. The three-year-old is looking for a calm, adult only home with no other pets as well as a secure garden space. Could River be right for you? Click here.
