The new lighting will allow the club to keep its Church Road facilities accessible for both adults and children, encouraging fitness, fun, and social activity in the heart of the village despite the shorter days that are approaching. Insolation Solar, a renewable energy company from Wombourne specialising in solar photovoltaic (PV), energy saving batteries and electric vehicle chargers with more than 15 years' experience in the industry, installed 24 of the new energy-efficient lights for free, saving the club more than £10,000. As well as keeping the club well-lit, the LED lights will also help reduce running costs and energy usage compared to traditional lighting. Wendy Login, director at Insolation Solar, said: “We’re passionate about giving back to the community that supports us. "Sport is such a valuable way for people of all ages to stay active, socialise, and improve their wellbeing "By gifting these LED lights, we hope to make sure Wombourne Cricket, Tennis and Bowling Club can continue to thrive, even during the winter months.” Ade Jeavons, chairman of Wombourne Tennis Club said: "We’re incredibly grateful to Insolation Solar for their generous upgrade of our floodlights to LED – completely free of charge. "This has made a huge difference to our club, improving visibility on court, reducing our energy costs, and helping us become more environmentally sustainable. "Their support has truly helped us serve our members better and continue growing tennis in the community."
