Key Points Four Pentathlon challenge games for 'Squid Game: The Challenge' season 2 have been revealed, one remains secret. New games include Ball in Cup and House of Cards; Biseokchigi and Jegi return from the scripted show. 'These are kids' games, but they're impossible when everyone is relying on you,' says player 100. Squid Game: The Challenge season 1 was a huge hit for Netflix two years ago when it debuted in between seasons of the regular scripted show Squid Game. Season 2 premieres in less than a week, and on Wednesday, October 29, Parade is debuting an exclusive sneak peek at the six-legged Pentathlon challenge. Spoiler warning: Don’t keep reading if you want to remain entirely spoiler-free ahead of the first batch of episodes dropping. RELATED: ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ Season 2: Cast, Premiere, Trailer and More Four Pentathlon Challenges Have Been Revealed When the official season 2 trailer dropped on October 16, it showed footage of two Pentathlon games — one from the scripted show and one new game. The one from the scripted show is Jegi, or the game where contestants had to basically play hacky-sack with a shuttlecock and keep it in the air for three hits in order to be successful. The new game was revealed to be House of Cards (is that a Netflix Easter egg?), where one of the five team members was tasked with building a two-tier house of cards. Now in the new sneak peek, two more games have been revealed, and again, one is new and one is from the scripted series. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 The New Games Shown are Ball in Cup and Biseokchigi In the clip, there is extensive footage of several players attempting to swing the ball on a string into a small cup, which is definitely a more American game than some of the games seen in the scripted Squid Game. This is the new addition, but we don’t yet know which scripted show games Ball in Cup and House of Cards will replace in the challenge. During the montage, many players successfully land their ball into their cup, though one bearded man, player 100, struggles quite a bit as he says in a voice over, “This is insane. These are kids’ games, but they’re impossible when everyone is relying on you. There’s pressure, so much pressure. I just have to breathe and get through this moment.” The second game the clip reveals is Biseokchigi, which is from the scripted show. This game involves throwing a rock to knock over a small gravestone-shaped rock. In the clip, this one seems to be pretty tough for several teams. As player 072 says via voice over, “My life in this game revolves around player 089, and he keeps missing. We cannot mess up this early; we have to stay in the race.” RELATED: Oscar-Winning Actress Discusses Her Surprise Cameo in ‘Squid Game’ Series Finale Which Pentathlon Game is Left? So far, we’ve seen Ball in Cup, House of Cards, Jegi and Biseokchigi. The fifth game has not been shown, nor has the exact order been revealed. Of the games left from the scripted show, it could be Ddakji (the paper square game), Gong-gi (the game that’s like the American game Jacks), or Paengi Chigi (the game with the string and the spinning top). Or perhaps it’s an entirely new game. Fans will just have to wait and see!
