'RJD wants to turn Bihar's youth into hooligans': Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has slammed the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) at a poll rally in Sitamarhi, Bihar. He accused the party of trying to turn the state's youth into hooligans. These people want to make their own children chief ministers, ministers, MPs, and MLAs, he added. The PM claimed that while his National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government is providing education and technology to Bihar's youth, the RJD is talking about arming them with pistols. Modi also criticized the RJD's election campaign, saying it makes innocent children speak about wanting to become gangsters. He referred to a viral video of a 10-year-old boy talking about pistols and rangdari on an RJD platform. The PM introduced a new slogan at the rally: Nai chahiye katta sarkar, fir ek baar NDA sarkar. This translates to We don't want a gun-wielding government, the NDA government once again. The PM also spoke against dynasty politics, accusing the RJD of wanting to make their own children leaders. He said, We're giving children books, computers, and laptops. Modi slammed the RJD for its rule in Bihar, saying it brought jungle raj, which he defined as pistols, cruelty, corruption, and enmity. He claimed that under the RJD rule, all development work in Bihar ended. The first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections was held on November 6 with a voter turnout of 65.08%. This is a significant increase from the previous elections in 2020 and 2024. The second phase will be held on November 11 across 122 seats in 20 districts. Results for both phases will be declared on November 14.
