'Office Movers' Renewed For Season 3; Drake Guest Starring In Season 2

EXCLSUIVE: The removal men will be back for a third job, as The Office Movers welcomes Drake to the team. We can reveal The Office Movers has been renewed for a third season before the launch of its second on Canadian streamer Crave. Not only that, but rap star Drake is making a guest appearance in Season 2, a first look at which you can see above. More new images are below. Season 2 of The Office Movers launches tomorrow (November 7), following the latest travails of two brothers navigating Toronto’s commercial office moving industry. Drake, a longtime friend and collaborator of the show’s makers and stars, Jermaine “Jae” and Trevaunn “Trey” Richards, will make a special guest appearance. He’s previously worked with them on sketches and sampled their work on his album More Life. The new season finds the Shazam moving company battling corporate giant Zenithon Logistics, while Everett (Jae) drags the team through increasingly desperate schemes such as insurance scams, bogus grant applications and a basement AirBnb conversion gone wrong. It will be followed on December 19 with a special, Projected to Have a Blessed Christmas. “The Office Movers is a hilarious slapstick comedy that also has some heart,” said Justin Stockman, Vice President, Content Development & Programming, at Crave parent Bell Media. “Jae and Trey’s sharp, culture-savvy comedy keeps the show perfectly tuned to the pulse of the moment, and we’re ecstatic they’ve landed a special appearance by one of Canada’s most iconic cultural ambassadors.” The series comes from Counterfeit Pictures in association with Crave, and was created by the Richards brothers, who also serve as executive producers through their creative studio, Random Order Studios, along with Clara Altimas and Counterfeit’s Dan Bennett, Shane Corkery and Anton Leo. Eric Saunders is a co-creator. Sebastian Cluer and Altimas serve as directors, and Chantal Kemp and Counterfeit’s Chris Kelley are producers. Jermaine and Trevaunn Richards are represented by Odd Projects and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller. For Bell, Rachel Goldstein-Couto is Head of Development, Original Programming; Mike McShane is Director, Digital Development, Original Programming; Alexis McLaren is Production Executive; Sarah Fowlie is Head of Production, Original Programming; Carlyn Klebuc is General Manager, Original Programming; and Stockman is Vice-President, Content Development & Programming. Bell-owned distributor Sphere Abacus has international sales rights.
