London: Former US Vice President and 2024 presidential candidate against Donald Trump, Kamala Harris has said that 'she’s not done' yet and may run for US President again. Speaking to the BBC, the former Vice President believed she would be 'President' one day, adding that there will be a woman in the White House in the future. In a statement, Harris said, "I am not done. I have lived my entire career a life of service and it’s in my bones. There are many ways to serve. I have not decided yet what I will do in the future beyond what I am doing right now." Kamala Harris Targets Donald Trump Taking aim at her 2024 competitor and now the 47th US President, Donald Trump, Kamala Harris termed him a tyrant, adding that her warnings about him have been proven right. She asserted that predictions about Donald Trump being a fascist and running an authoritarian government have come true. "Like when Donald Trump said he would weaponise the Department of Justice and he’s exactly doing the same," she said. "You look at what has happened in terms of how he has weaponised, for example, federal agencies going around after political satirists. His skin is so thin he couldn't endure criticism from a joke, and attempted to shut down an entire media organisation in the process," Kamala said. When asked about her belief that there will be a woman in the White House and whether that woman could be her, Kamala Harris said 'possibly,' hinting at a second run for the top job. However, she also mentioned that she has not made a final decision yet, though she does see herself in politics in the future. Responding to a question about polls suggesting she is an outsider, Kamala Harris said she has never listened to polls. "If I listened to polls, I would have not run for my first office, or my second office and I certainly wouldn't be sitting here," Kamala Harris said. If Kamala Runs in 2028, Will She Face Donald Trump Again? Donald Trump, back in March this year, hinted that he may run for a third term as US President, and his team was reportedly exploring options despite the US Constitution’s 22nd Amendment, which does not allow more than two terms for a President. In an interview with NBC, President Donald Trump said that his team has been looking for 'methods' to serve another term as President, despite the 22nd Amendment limiting presidential terms in the US to two. Reasserting his seriousness, the 78-year-old said in the telephone interview that "he is not joking." Given that the Republican, born on June 14, 1946, is already 78, a third term would mean he’d be 82 at the time of the next election in 2028 and if he indeed becomes President, he would finish his term in 2032 at the age of 86. And indeed, if he did run for a third term, and Kamala Harris for her second, it would be the second time the two face each other.
