Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said there was “no seat vacant” in politics, asserting that Nitish Kumar will remain the chief minister in Bihar while Narendra Modi will continue to be the prime minister at the Centre. Addressing a public meeting, Shah remarked: “CM ya PM koi seat khali nahi hai… yahan Nitish Kumar hain, wahan PM Modi hain,” in a pointed response to speculation over leadership ambitions within the opposition. While addressing the rally, Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had enhanced Bihar’s image by conferring the Bharat Ratna on former chief minister Karpoori Thakur. He added that Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Congress government did not give Karpoori Thakur the due respect. Praising the government’s decisive actions, Shah said, “When the Pahalgam attack happened, Prime Minister Modi carried out Operation Sindoor,” adding that the Centre had also banned the Popular Front of India (PFI) and arrested its members. Amit Shah also urged the voters to ensure a clean sweep for the NDA in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls. “The first phase of voting is on November 6. Will you all vote for us? We must take a pledge to make the NDA win all 10 seats in Darbhanga. Mithila’s daughter, Maithili Thakur, is contesting from here, and I want to tell Lalu Yadav’s party that Maithili Thakur will win,” Shah said. Speaking on the Ram Temple, Shah added, “For years, Lord Ram lived in a tent. TMC, BJP, Samajwadi Party — nobody allowed the Ram Temple to be built. When PM Modi came to power, he built the Ram Temple. Now it’s time to build a temple for Goddess Sita in Mithila, and all the places she visited will be connected to the Ram circuit.” Delivering another speech in Bihar’s Samastipur, Home Minister Amit Shah said Bihar has the leadership of Nitish Kumar and Chirag Paswan and also PM Modi’s blessings as backing in the polls.
