Show crossovers and cast reactions reflect fame, opportunities, and ongoing group support. Taylor Frankie Paul’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-stars are speaking out about her being named The Bachelorette for 2026. While promoting the upcoming Nov. 13 season 3 SLOMW premiere on Hulu, Layla Taylor and Miranda Hope (formerly McWhorter) told Parade that Taylor’s high-profile gig will do her a world of good. Layla said, “I think it’s amazing. I think Taylor’s been through a lot in terms of her love life, and she’s met some pretty not-so-great men, and I think she’s very deserving of love, a gentle, loving love, and I really hope that she finds that in this experience.” 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 When asked what Taylor will bring to The Bachelorette, Miranda laughed, “What won’t Taylor bring to it is the question! I think she’ll bring a lot of entertainment and a lot of real and raw emotion. That’s what Taylor is very good at, being very vulnerable, and I think that that’s something that viewers love to see. And ultimately, I hope that she can walk out of it with a long-term future partner and potentially, husband.” As fans know, Taylor has had two major, tumultuous relationships. She shares two kids with ex-husband Tate Paul and had another child with former boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, who has been part of the Mormon Wives drama. Related: Who Is Taylor Frankie Paul? What to Know About the ‘Bachelorette’ and ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Star In September, ABC announced Taylor as the next Bachelorette for Season 22. It was the second time a star was chosen outside the franchise, following hot on the heels of the network making unknown Mel Owens the star of The Golden Bachelor Season 2. Hulu has the same parent company as ABC, and now Taylor is crossing over to the network after her co-stars Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck were cast on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. Taylor, 31, a member of a Mormon #MomTok influencer group, went viral for revealing that she and her husband, Tate, were getting a divorce—after they’d allegedly engaged in “soft swinging.” Taylor and her friends then landed the Mormon Wives reality show that became a huge hit on the Hulu streamer. The Taylor-led Bachelorette moves to a new night this spring, premiering on Sunday, Mar. 22. Meanwhile, Layla, 24, and Miranda, 27, promise viewers will see Taylor’s personality continue to develop on Mormon Wives Season 3. May said on The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast, “Demi for sure [was the most jealous]. I think mostly Jessi, Mayci, and Mikayala and Jen, they were so excited for her. I think the other girls were excited too, but they were kinda like, ‘Oh, why didn’t they pick me,’ because they’re single too.’” But Layla, who is now dating Miranda’s ex-husband Chase McWhorter’s brother, Mason McWhorter, told Parade she doesn’t consider herself single and added about The Bachelorette, “I think with this experience, naturally, some women are going to get opportunities and with time, opportunities are going to be passed around. But I think we’re happy for Taylor. If we’re going to spend all of our time being jealous of each other, this would be a very negative environment to be in, and I’m nothing but excited for Taylor.” Related: One ‘SLOMW’ Star Is ‘Absolutely Jealous’ of Taylor Frankie Paul’s ‘Bachelorette’ Casting Layla, who has had dance training, also said she was happy for Jen and Whitney being on DWTS, although she interviewed for the show herself and didn’t get chosen. Fans will see Layla’s dance audition process on SLOMW season 3. “I think it’s amazing to support each other. I’ve been able to go to a couple of the [DWTS] shows now and support both of the girls, and it’s been incredible to see them go through this journey,” Layla said. Of course, Layla would love to be considered for a future season of DWTS, and with the Mormon Wives fame only continuing to grow, that could be a no-brainer. “I would be there 100 percent!” Layla smiled in her interview. “You would kill it!” Miranda replied. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3 premieres Nov. 13 on Hulu.
