TV presenter Bob Puccetti has died. The Channel Nine star passed away aged 93 at his home following a lengthy health battle. The US-born broadcaster fronted Nine's Midnight to Dawn programme in South Australia during the 1980s and was a familiar face during ad breaks throughout weekend film marathons according to Mail Online. The veteran presenter, who leaves behind his three children Rina, Chris, and Mike, earned the title "king of late-night television" during his TV career. His passing was revealed by daughter Rina in an emotional social media tribute: "Does anybody remember the Midnight to Dawn Show on Channel 9 in the early to mid-80s? It was hosted by the legendary Bob Puccetti." "Sadly, Bob passed away a few days ago at the grand old age of 93. His media career included stints at The News, Channel 9, and 5AA with the late Bob Francis," she wrote as reported by the Express. She signed off with: "He also played a key role in organising The Look of the Year Quest, a well-known modelling competition in Adelaide during the 1990s and early 2000s. He was universally liked by everyone who met him, and he genuinely loved people." Tributes have flooded social media for the television personality as one fan wrote: "Wonderful man, remember him on TV fondly," while another commented: "We had some great times, great memories." "RIP, Bob, you were a pioneer in both radio and TV," a third mourner added as a fourth message read: "A real down-to-earth person." One fan simply stated: "RIP, great man," while another chimed in: "What a lovely man he was." Have you joined Threads?
