The shocking new season of Landman is coming to Paramount+ on Sunday, November 16. If you’re new to Landman, you should know that the show has the signature Taylor Sheridan touch, though it is decidedly not part of the Yellowstone universe, despite carrying certain similar themes. Like Yellowstone, the characters of Landman are tough-talking, take-no-prisoners folks who are focused on getting what they want at all costs. But, also like Yellowstone and the prequel show, 1923, Landman has a lot of heart. These guys were longtime friends, and even though they didn’t always see eye-to-eye, they got the job done. But, tragically, Monty dies in Season 1 —which is why Jon Hamm isn’t in Season 2—and his death leaves a power vacuum that has to be addressed by his wife, Cami Miller, played by Demi Moore.
