'I Want My Money Back': British Influencer's Rs 9,300 'Gold Coffee' Experience In Dubai Goes Viral

At one of the most opulent hotels in the world, the Burj Al Arab, a British travel influencer’s luxury indulgence turned into an unexpected disappointment. Harry Jaggard, a travel vlogger from the UK, recently ordered what is claimed to be the world’s most expensive coffee, a 24-carat gold–decorated cappuccino, priced at $110 (around Rs 9,300). But moments after his first sip, he was demanding a refund. Jaggard’s now-viral video, filmed at the Sahn Eddar lounge inside Dubai’s 7-star Burj Al Arab, captures the entire experience. Known for its strict dress codes and reservation protocols, the Burj Al Arab is often described as a symbol of extravagance, but for Jaggard, it turned out to be a costly letdown. The influencer, visibly thrilled in the beginning, ordered the ‘Ultimate Gold Cappuccino’. The luxurious beverage arrived in a gold-rimmed china set, topped with shimmering 24-carat edible gold flakes and served alongside chocolate marshmallows. “It looks royal,” Jaggard said in his video, admiring the presentation before taking his first sip. The hotel staff, amused by the incident, reportedly laughed at his reaction. The influencer’s candid review, “I want my money back,” quickly struck a chord online. The video has since garnered over 50 lakh views on Instagram, sparking a flood of reactions from amused viewers. While some users sympathised with Jaggard’s disappointment, others pointed out that the gold was purely decorative and not meant to alter the taste.
