As the days get shorter and temperatures dip, my idea of bliss involves long baths, soft candlelight, and that luxury shower foam I’ve been saving for a treat. If that sounds familiar, then then Rituals’ The Ritual of Advent Classic Wreath Calendar might be the perfect festive companion. The luxury wellbeing brand is best known for its serene self-care products inspired by ancient traditions. Despite being based in Amsterdam, the products and their fragrances are often rooted in Asian culture, with the beauty advent calendar being one of the best ways to discover the range without forking out full price. This year’s edition is designed to be a hanging wreath, which can be hung on the wall or displayed flat as a centrepiece, doubling up as Christmas decor. There are 24 windows to open in order, creating a little morning (or evening) ritual throughout December. READ MORE: Rituals has launched two advent calendars this year, and though the wreath is the most affordable, it’s the best in terms of value for money. It’s priced at £103 for products worth £164.50, while Rituals’ Deluxe version is £137.90, but worth £196 - around £35 more to pay for £32 extra in products. Inside, the products are varied and showcase what Rituals do best - indulgent body care and wellness. Even the products inside a red green and gold, from The Ritual of Jing Foaming Shower Gel and The Ritual of Ayurveda Shower Oil, toThe Ritual of Karma Shimmering Body Oil. Alongside bath and shower essentials, there are haircare products, including a hydrating shampoo, conditioner, and keratin mask, skincare minis like The Ritual of Namaste Micellar Water and Wonder Mask, and even home fragrances with four scented candles and a Night Pillow & Body Mist. I was, however, a little disappointed that there were no mini fragrance sticks in this edit, as they’re one of my favourite products from Rituals. That said, there are some in the Glossybox advent calendar, which costs £90 but is worth more than £624. The multi-brand haul allows shoppers to try a variety of brands and products, with the Rituals the Ritual of Sakura Mini Fragrance Sticks being one of the highlights for 2025. For those looking for an even more luxurious take on fragrance and bath calendar, there’s Molton Brown . The calendar costs £230 to buy but the contents inside are worth £332, saving over £100, with scents like Delicious Rhubarb & Rose, Fiery Pink Pepper and Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel. Back inside the Rituals calendar , one of my favourite inclusions is the Scent Booster & Softener in Sakura. This is the kind of product you save for when you wash your bed linens or dressing gowns so that they smell amazing. The Ritual of Jing is one that me, my mum and sister-in-law are all obsessed with, so I’ve no doubt we’ll be fighting over the products from the range. I’m claiming the Overnight Body Mask, though, as it’s perfect for winding down before bed. Everything inside The Rituals Wreath Advent calendar : There are a few small caveats, the main one being that, if you prefer full-sized products, you might find this calendar a little light. Everything is under 100ml, making it ideal for travel or stocking fillers, but less so for those looking for larger products. That said, the smaller sizes are still generous and can be used multiple times. There’s also a few products that perhaps don’t suit my skin or I simply won’t get around to using, like the Ritual of Karma Shimmering Body Oil - not because I don’t like it, but because it lasts such a long time and I already have a full sized bottle, so I’ll be able to give products I know I won’t use as premium-feeling stocking fillers. Pros: Cons: Some advent calendars can be overwhelming, but the Ritual of Advent Classic Wreath Calendar is perfect for those who prefer a calm, pampering countdown over glitz and glamour. While it may lack full-sized products, it's still a smart purchase for those new to the brand or anyone who wants to build a full Rituals routine in miniature form.
