Meghan Markle is the one in control when it comes to her marriage to Prince Harry , and she has a character trait that is causing big issues in their working lives, according to a new report. Just six months after they stepped down as working royals, Meghan and Harry signed an exclusive deal with Netflix , which was said to be worth about $100million (£74million). In August, the Sussexes extended their agreement with the streamer - but with a significant change. The couple signed a "first-look deal" rather than an overall deal, meaning that the streaming entertainment giant will be able to say yes or no to their content before anyone else, but are under no obligation to stream it. Several US outlets have suggested it is a downgrade from the Sussexes' previous contract, which saw the streaming giant pay for exclusive rights for the content. Furthermore, ratings for season two of Netflix's With Love, Meghan were much lower than season one, and it's unclear if there will be a season three. Meghan addressed the new, less profitable, deal at Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit just recently, and stated that it was actually "such an incredible sign of the strength of our partnership". "My husband and I were in an overall deal with Netflix; then, not dissimilar to Higher Ground and the Obamas' deal, once that had come to its term, the extension of it — which was such an incredible sign of the strength of our partnership — was now being in a first-look deal," she said. "Which is also exciting because it gives us flexibility to go to our partners first, then at the same time, shop content that might not be the right fit for Netflix but has a home somewhere else." But many believe the couple are really struggling with their foray into the world of entertainment. A Hollywood source told Page Six that when it comes to Meghan and Harry, "There is not only no appetite left for them in LA, but they've also worn through any good will they had." Another insider claimed that the Sussexes have 'no finesse' when it comes to business - and pointed to Meghan's supposed problematic trait. "She's convinced she's smarter than everyone and dismissive," they said, adding: "They're just hopeless in professional settings." It follows reports that Meghan is now returning to acting , eight-years after she quit the profession. According to Variety, she is making a cameo as herself in the Amazon MGM Studios production Close Personal Friends. The film stars Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding. The Sun quoted an unnamed source familiar with the matter as saying that this was a "massive moment" for the Duchess and "signifies a return to doing what she truly loves". "It's Meghan's way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set," they added. "Everyone involved is super-excited, and have been sworn to secrecy about her involvement. Prince Harry is, of course, really supportive and quite simply wants Meghan to do whatever brings her joy." It marks Meghan's first acting role since she left Suits in November 2017. She played paralegal Rachel Zane, appearing in the nine-season show right from the start. She left the series after getting engaged to Prince Harry in 2017. Close Personal Friends, directed by Jason Orley, follows a regular couple who befriend a celebrity pair on a trip to Santa Barbara, near Meghan and Harry's home in Montecito, California. Reps for the couple declined to comment.
