Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan has never shied away from speaking openly about mental health. She is the founder of Agatsu, a not-for-profit company dedicated to mental health awareness and support. In her latest post, Ira Khan has shared an update, revealing that she is no longer in therapy. She revealed that after eight years of psychoanalysis, with sessions three times a week, she has now ‘graduated’ therapy. While she is still on medication, she explained that her therapist felt that she is ready to manage on her own. She added that she is in remission from depression, and should be able to manage future depressive episodes. However, she is prepared to ask for help if needed in the future. Aamir Khan’s Daughter Ira Khan Has ‘Graduated Therapy’ After 8 Years On Monday, Ira Khan took to her Instagram account to share some lovely, happy pictures from her recent outing. In her caption, she shared that she is no longer in therapy. “On 13th October, I had my last therapy session. After 3 times a week -For 8 years of psychoanalysis… I’m no longer in therapy,” she wrote. Further explaining what this means, she added, ““So you’re cured now?” I’m still on medication and I probably will be for the foreseeable future. Not being in therapy anymore means that my therapist and I felt confident that I had learnt a bunch of things, started living my life in a more helpful manner (for me) and I’d be able to manage on my own – responsibly taking care of myself and remembering to have fun in life!” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ira Khan (@khan.ira) “As far as ‘cured’ goes…I’m in remission from my depression and with my medication, I should be able to manage future depressive episodes – and if I can’t, I’ll ask for help. Soon after Ira shared the post, her husband Nupur Shikhare commented, “what a cutie,” followed by red heart emojis. Several netizens praised her for speaking so openly about her mental health journey. “It takes a lot of strength to declare this dear! More power to you Ira!” wrote one Instagram user, while another one commented, “It takes a big heart to write this Ira loads of love.” Celebrities such as Ananya Panday, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mithila Palkar and others also ‘liked’ the post.
