In the new photos, Birch, now 43, sported a witchy all-black ensemble for the AFI Fest premiere of her latest film The Chronology of Water, which comes out later this year. The actress looked demure in the gothic style dress, which featured sheer lace fabric along her sleeves, chest and skirt of the dress. Her hair was pulled up into a tousled updo, with streaks of blue adding a fun pop of color to the dark and edgy look. Birch was accompanied for the event by her husband, who matched her vibe in a black collared shirt paired with a velvet coat of a dark burgundy shade. Adler, a manager and producer, has been married to Birch since 2018. The pair could be seen posing together and smiling for the cameras at the TCL Chinese Theater on Monday night, where they also leaned in for a kiss while photographers snapped their picture. They attended the Hollywood event alongside other notable names, including co-star Imogen Poots and the film’s director, Kristen Stewart. Will Thora Birch Return for Hocus Pocus 3? Even though it’s been over 3 decades since Birch played the iconic character of Dani Dennison, the former child actress recently said she would be “super open” to reprising the role. “Yeah, I’d like to know what they land on for how Dani wound up,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m super open to the idea.” Birch noticeably didn’t participate in the 2022 sequel Hocus Pocus 2, which saw the return of several key players from the original film, including the notorious Sanderson sisters, played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.
